Joe Young is currently the Executive Director of Disability Rights New Jersey.   He has been representing people with disabilities exclusively since 1979, when he joined the Community Health Law Project.  He served as Deputy Director of the Division Advocacy for the Developmentally Disabled in the Department of the Public Advocate until the Department was abolished.  Joe received his law degree from Rutgers-Newark Law School.  He also has a Masters degree from Rutgers University and his undergraduate degree from Kalamazoo College, with foreign study at University College, Nairobi.   He has appeared in administrative, trial, and appellant courts, including the New Jersey Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
