Volunteers of America psychiatric rehabilitation programs offer supportive residential care to people living with severe and persistent mental illness, including specialized services for those with dual-diagnoses of mental illness and chemical addiction, and developmentally disabilities.  The programs emphasize recovery through skill development and linkage to community resources. 

A Residential Counselor is responsible for assisting in the case management and service plan implementation for adults in our residential programs.   A bachelor’s degree in a mental health or human services related discipline is preferred, or high school diploma or the equivalent, plus four years of related work experience. Valid drivers license with a clean driving record also required.
